TRAVEL GUIDELINES
FLIGHT LOGISTICS
The Texas Youth Conference is located in Central
Texas, near Freestone, approximately 2 hours North
of Houston and 2.5 hours South of Dallas.
If you plan on flying to the conference, please fly
into Houston Bush Intercontinental, if possible, as
most of our volunteer drivers are in Houston. If
Houston is not possible, please fly into either
Austin Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) or
Dallas International Airport (DFW).
We will be arranging carpools for those flying in as
well as making sure that everyone has a ride to the
conference. Because of this, please try to arrive no
later than noon. This helps us with the logistics of
airport pickups. Of course, if this is not possible,
we will work around your schedule.
For flight departures, please try
to schedule flight departures for after 3:00 PM.
This gives us ample time to clean the camp on the
final Saturday morning and get everyone to the
airport on time. If you have to leave earlier, no
problem. We'll make sure you have a ride to get you
to the airport on time!
We will also be arranging
overnight accommodations for those that may need a
place to stay either before or after the conference.
In order to ensure that you have
a ride and a place to stay, please send your
completed Transportation Form (available on May 1,
2008 from the
Registration Page) to us no later than December 1,
2008 (but the sooner, the better). This information
should be sent to the address on the Registration
Page.

pleasant.
The average nighttime low during the month of
December is 40 F. However, during the 4th week of
December, it is highly possible for the temperatures
to drop below freezing (32 F) at night.
